Due to the forecasted snow storm on Monday, March 3rd, the first cooking show in the month long series presented by our recreation dept and Chef Mike of ABG’s at Tri Boro First Aid will be re-scheduled for Monday, April 7th. If you are holding tickets for that show, you can either use them at another show of your choice or hold them for the evening of April 7th. TRAFFIC ALERT FOR ROUTE 35 RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
Please be advised at the end of today, Monday, February 24th, all northbound and southbound traffic will be shifted to the Route 35 northbound lanes beginning at H Street in Seaside Park through Dupont Avenue in Seaside Heights.
Access to the Route 35 southbound lanes will be available at designated cross streets.
This traffic shift will be in effect for approximately two months while improvements are being made in the area.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this critical infrastructure project.

(14/P10) TRENTON – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Philadelphia District has awarded a contract for the repair of the north jetty at Barnegat Inlet, which protects the southern tip of state-owned Island Beach State Park in Ocean County, Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Commissioner Bob Martin announced today.
The contract was awarded to Agate Construction Company of Clermont in Cape May County for $7.6 million to repair approximately 740 feet of the jetty on the north side of the inlet that was battered by Superstorm Sandy. The project is expected to begin later this month and be completed by the fall.

ROUTE 35 RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
Please be advised that the Route 35 southbound lanes between Johnson Street in Bay Head and Bergen Avenue in Mantoloking will be paved beginning Thursday, February 20th through Sunday, February 23rd weather permitting.
Please anticipate possible delays due to this construction.

The Borough Hall will be closed in observance of President’s Day on Monday, February 17th and will re-open on Tuesday, February 18th. There will be no garbage collection on Monday. Both oceanside and bayside garbage will be picked up on Tuesday.
The Borough Hall will be closed in observance of Lincoln’s birthday on Wednesday, February 12, 2014.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq., that the Mayor and Borough Council will hold a Special Meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2014, for emergent borough business as it refers to finance office matters and personnel. The meeting will be held in the Borough Council Meeting Room located at Sixth & Central Avenues, Seaside Park. It is anticipated that formal action will be taken. A resolution may be adopted to authorize the governing body to meet in executive (closed) session in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act.
