Date: May 7, 2014
Project: Rt. 35 Restoration, Berkeley Twp. To Toms River Twp. (MP 0-4)
Route/Direction/MP: Route 35 / NB and SB / MP 0 to 4.0
Municipality/County: Seaside Park, Seaside Heights and Toms River Twp.
Nature of Work: Revised 3A MOD Proposal for Final Asphalt Surface Course

Description of New Traffic Pattern:
(Starting on or about 5/12/14) – Ramp WS will be opened and Ramp WN will be closed, forcing all Route 37 EB traffic to Ramp WS and continuing on Route 35 SB. The Route 37 EB traffic will continue to Central Avenue and make a left turn at M Street then an immediate right turn onto Route 35NB (Two way traffic, current configuration). Route 37 EB traffic that wishes to go to Route 35 NB will either make a u-turn at M Street or follow the Route 35 NB detour through Seaside Park via the Boulevard.
Ramp CY will also be closed forcing Route 35 SB traffic to follow the signed detour route to Route 37 WB via Ramp NW which will be open. Route 35 SB traffic will then merge with Ramp WS traffic and follow the aforementioned route.
Ramp BW will remain in its current configuration.

(Starting on or about 5/13/14) – The traffic configuration that is scheduled to start on May 12 will be in place and will have one change described below.
The traffic on Route 35 SB and NB that wish to travel on Route 35 NB will be directed to turn left at M Street in Seaside Park and follow M Street to the Boulevard. Then turn left onto the Boulevard and follow until the roadway becomes Routet 35 NB in Ortley Beach.
This configuration will allow the surface asphalt to be placed on Route 35 NB between M Street and Dupont Avenue All side streets between M Street and Dupont Avenue will be directed to exit via the Boulevard while paving operations commence.

(Starting on or about 5/14/14) – The traffic configuration that is scheduled to start on May 12 and May 13 will be in place and will have one change described below.
The traffic heading north on Central Avenue will be directed to make a right turn on Heiring Avenue then a left onto the Boulevard. Then follow the Boulevard until it turns into Route 35 NB. A temporary STOP sign will be placed at the intersection of Heiring and Boulevard.
This configuration will allow the surface asphalt to be placed through the intersection of Route 35 NB and Central Avenue.

(Starting on or about 5/15/14) – The traffic configuration that is scheduled to start on May 12, May 13 and May 14 will be in place and will have one change described below.

This configuration will allow the surface asphalt to be placed Ramp BW
