Beginning in February 2008, Ocean County will be
utilizing a dual stream method of recycling. All newspapers,
cardboard and mixed paper can now be placed at the curb together in
containers not to exceed 32 gallons in size, with removable lids.
Weight should not exceed 50 lbs. Materials should NOT be tied
together. DO NOT USE STRING, TAPE or FISHING LINE to bundle your
materials. Keep them loose in covered containers include: junk mail,
corrugated cardboard, newspapers with inserts, magazines, computer
paper, office paper, empty brown paper bags, and school papers. NON
ACCEPTABLE materials include: cereal boxes, pizza boxes, plastic
bags, paper plates, trash, and phone books. No Robo-Cans or cans
with attached lids.
Christmas
Trees will be collected on Fridays during January.
