TOMS RIVER – Ocean County Library will present “Beyond Sandy: Resources Expo II” at two of its branches in November to help connect the community with storm-related assisting agencies and organizations.

Area residents will be able to get information from participating agencies on a variety of topics.

Topics will include financial aid, finding a contractor or remediation expert, avoiding scams, help with continued displacement needs including shelter, food, clothing and pet assistance.

It will also help people understand elevation and FEMA flood maps, insurance practices, legal advice, small business assistance, health and human services, enrolling children in school, emotional support and types of grant assistance.

Vendors, agencies and organizations are signing on now to present this information. There is still space available for more groups to participate.

Spanish translation will be available.

The program will be presented Thursday Nov. 7 at the Brick branch, 301 Chambers Bridge Rd. and Wednesday Nov. 13 at the Little Egg Harbor branch, 290 Mathistown Rd. Both programs will begin at 3 p.m. and last until 7 p.m.

These events are free and do not require pre-registration.
