TAKE NOTICE that the NJ Department of Transportation (NJDOT) has contacted the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program, proposing to divert 0.207 acre of Sunset Cove Park (Block 53.01, Lots 3.02 & 4) located in Seaside Park Borough in connection with NJDOT’s Route 35 Reconstruction in response to damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.
Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:36-26.8(a) a scoping hearing to obtain public comment on this request will be held at:

Central Avenue and 6th Avenue
2nd Floor Council Meeting Room
Seaside Park, New Jersey 08752
March 9, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM (see note below)
All interested parties are invited to attend and participate in the scoping hearing. Written comments on the diversion request may be directed to the Seaside Park Borough Administrator (732-793-3700 ext. 113) at 1701 North Ocean Avenue, Seaside Park, NJ 08752. Please send a copy of any comments submitted on this request to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program, Bureau of Legal Services and Stewardship, Mail Code 501-01, 501 East State St., P.O. Box 420, Trenton, NJ 08625-0420.
Public comment on this diversion request will be accepted during the scoping hearing or until March 23, 2017.
Note: If 1 Municipal Plaza is closed due to inclement weather, the meeting will be held on Thursday March 23, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the location stated above. If the meeting is held on March 23, 2017, the public comment period will be extended to April 6, 2017.
