The Army Corp of Engineers beach replenishment project is currently under way starting at 4th Avenue in Seaside Park.  The contractor will be working north to the Seaside Heights border first, and then south to the border of Island Beach State Park.  During this time, a 1000’ moving work zone on the beach will be established.  Beach entrances that fall into those work zones will be closed and then reopened once the work zone moves past it. The beach entrances will be accessible shortly after they are out of the main work zone.  Temporary closures of the beach entrances will still occur until the entrance is fully completed.  A walkway over the pipe on the beach will be established at each entrance to allow access to the water as the work moves forward and until the pipe is removed.  This project is estimated to last until Mid November.  Pipe will remain on the beach south of 4th Avenue until Berkeley Township is completed in December.  The exact timing and location of where the work zone will be as it progresses is not firm and is subject to change.

Current closures:  (updated as information becomes available -all subject to change)
