Payroll Clerk/Account Clerk

The Borough of Seaside Park is seeking applications for a Fulltime Payroll Clerk/Account Clerk. The ideal candidate must be well organized, analytical, detail oriented, accurate, have good verbal and written skills and be able to work well with the public.

Payroll Clerk responsibilities will include administering and processing bi-weekly payroll; managing payroll-related functions, reports, time and attendance, and records; and processing pension membership applications, beneficiary changes, retirement applications, as well as health insurance applications and changes.

Account Clerk responsibilities will include preparing a Bill List; assisting with preparation of periodic reports; examining vouchers to ensure necessary approvals and proper calculations; comparing various types of documents for completeness such as vouchers, payrolls, requisitions, invoices, bills, and receipts. The Account Clerk will also be responsible for maintaining established records/files, and other administrative tasks as needed. Experience with Positive Pay is preferred.

Experience with Edmunds, Primepoint, and all relevant Microsoft applications is preferred. The position includes pension, health benefits, sick, vacation, and personal time consideration. The salary range for this position is $20 - $30 per hour. The Borough is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
