NJDOT Notice - 10/28-10/29 Temporary Traffic Stoppages Overnight for Bridge Testing

Wednesday, October 28 - Route 37/Matthis Bridge

From 9 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, until 5 a.m. Thursday, October 29, Route 37 eastbound is scheduled to have temporary 15-minute traffic stoppages before the Mathis Bridge over Barnegat Bay between Toms River and Seaside Heights, Ocean County. The stoppages are necessary to allow for testing of the lift bridge. Attenuator trucks will be utilized to block the roadway at 15-minute increments while testing takes place. Motorists are advised to use caution, slow down and expect delays.
